Greetings Earth

According to wikipedia, Entrepreneurship is nothing but turning innovations into economic goods. A lot of books have been written about bringing businesses to life and running them successfully. I have read a lot of these books, as I'm sure you have done, in the hope that I will get rich: but, shock on me! The books never prepared me for the challenges that business-people face. Reading rich-dad, poor-dad, did little to my bottom line. Too much fiction, too little reality.
Having a business idea is not equal to being a successful businessman. My minimal experience has taught me that, my idea is worth SQUAT. What turns my idea into an income generating enterprise is how I execute it. Execution is the reason why 90% of businesses fail in their first year. It is the sieve that separates successful enterprises from the failures. Take M-pesa for example: the concept had been tried in many countries but it never worked till it got to the right market at the right time. Kenya, with its huge un-banked population was just the perfect market for mobile money transfer.
In this blog I shall publish the challenges I have faced and continue to face in running my business. I also invite my fellow young entrepreneurs to contribute to the  blog by giving their perspective on the various issues that we will be discussing.
This blog is my feeble attempt to make business in kenya an understandable subject by showing the day to day struggles of an entrepreneur in  our economy. Hopefully I will have contributed to making the country a better economy.
WELCOME ON BOARD!
